I was born and raised in New Jersey and attended college in Rhode Island, where I met my husband, Jim. We married in 1994 and moved to Maryland where we had our two boys: Adam in 1998 and Evan in 2000. In 2003, we decided to leave our cozy home in Maryland and move to a big beautiful home in sunny St. Augustine, Florida. During our time there, we raised our boys to become wonderful young men, and I had the privilege of becoming a teacher. I had a very rewarding career teaching first and second graders in St. Johns and Duval Counties. But life happens, and change comes to everyone. The boys were getting older and getting ready to leave the nest. I was looking for a new adventure, so I left teaching and took a course in life coaching and another in organizing. We also decided it was time to downsize so we sold our home and moved to Jacksonville. This move has required us to simplify, but it has enriched our lives tenfold! We realized that having a fulfilling life does not require “stuff”. It requires us to be present to ourselves and the people around us. Getting organized and simplifying has been a gift to me and my family. I would love to share that with you as an organizer and life coach!
During the pandemic, I kept busy by working on and completing an organizing course called the Boss Organizer Blueprint with Dorothy Breininger (a.k.a “Dorothy the Organizer”) from the hit television show Hoarders.
I continued to hone my skills in Dorothy's Certification Program in order to earn the right to be designated a
Certified DTO Boss Organizer.
