Peaceful Places with Denise
I’ve always found comfort in organizing.
As a child, I naturally gravitated toward creating order — folding my pajamas just right, packing baskets for trips, organizing family photos, and helping relatives sort their belongings. Favorite toys? You guessed it, nesting dolls! Even then, organizing felt calming to me. It still does.
My adult life has included many meaningful chapters and transitions.
I married my husband, Jim, in 1994, and together we raised our two sons, Adam and Evan. Over the years, our family has lived through moves, changes, and seasons of growth — including a recent transition in 2025 when my brother and my grown son moved back into our home. Once again, life shifted, and once again, organization helped us adapt.
Each transition reinforced what I’ve learned again and again: when life changes, our spaces need to change too. Thoughtful organizing allows us to maximize space, reduce stress, and create room for what matters most — even when homes are shared, routines evolve, or emotions run high.
Before becoming a professional organizer, I spent over 20 years as an elementary school teacher in St. Johns and Duval Counties. Teaching taught me patience, compassion, and how to meet people where they are — skills that guide every organizing session I lead today.

During the COVID era, I followed a calling I had felt for decades. I
completed life coaching training and professional organizing education, including certification through Dorothy Breininger (of Hoarders). That training deepened my understanding of both the emotional and practical sides of organization — especially during times of grief, downsizing, and major life transitions.
Peaceful Places with Denise provides compassionate, judgment-free home organizing services in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida, with a special focus on small spaces, home offices, productivity, and life transitions.
I work with clients who feel overwhelmed by clutter, paperwork, or limited space — and who want support without pressure or shame.
My approach is gentle and collaborative.
I don’t believe in forcing minimalism or making decisions for my clients. Instead, I help people make peace with their belongings, honor what matters, and create systems that support the way they live now.
Clients often tell me that working together feels like lifting a weight — not just from their home, but from their mind. I believe organizing should feel supportive, calming, and empowering, especially during elp you create a peaceful place that truly works for you.
