I've always been a good listener and someone to talk to, so this is my way of being that person for you!
Here are some common questions that I think might help you.
What is a life coach?
A life coach is someone who will work with you as you are today and guide you in a positive direction. It is not a coach’s aim to go into your past to figure out why you do what you do, feel what you feel, or heal old wounds. A life coach will give you undivided attention by listening to your goals, dreams, and concerns, and will help you come up with a plan for the area of your life which is in most need of change. S/he will offer encouragement, perhaps a new perspective, and challenge your thinking. S/he can hold you accountable (if you want) and be your biggest cheerleader. A life coach values you as the expert in your life.
What is a life coach for well-being?
Life coaches can specialize in many different areas. Corporate life coaches enjoy helping people with their work life. Health and fitness coaches specialize in helping people achieve optimal health through means that may include diet and exercise. Relationship coaches thrive when helping people resolve relationship issues that they may be having with their spouse, friend, parent, relative, etc.
As a life coach for well-being, I am passionate about many areas of our lives. Since one facet of your life may be affecting another, we can talk about many things from relationships and spirituality to work life and life at home. Having been a teacher for many years and raising my own two boys, I can lend an understanding ear and provide perspective on many topics involving children. Life has given me many positive (and some not-so-positive) experiences from which I have gained knowledge, can draw wisdom, and share with an open heart.
What is the cost?
The first session is at no cost to you. After that, it is $100/hour for a minimum of 3 hours of coaching. The time can be used in intervals of 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes over a period of time not to exceed 12 weeks.
How does it work?
During our first (complimentary) session, we will get to know each other. I will learn about what is bringing you to coaching and the expectation you have from our working together. You are free to ask me questions and get to know more about me. If we decide that we would like working with each other, we will set up our first appointment and decide on a schedule for meetings.
Do we meet in person?
You choose. We can meet in-person at a location of your choice, via FaceTime or Zoom call, or over the phone.
How often do we meet?
The frequency of our sessions will depend upon your goals and your availability. For example, if you are working toward something that requires frequent, short check-ins, we can talk on the phone once or twice each week, for 15 or 30 minutes each time. If you are working toward something that requires more work between sessions, we can meet every other week for 60 minutes each time. I will keep track of our times and provide you with an update on the amount of time we have left prior to the start of each session.
